BMS Intensive Course in Brand Management
President and CEO of Bravis Fumi Sasada delivered a speech on 'Design as a Tool for the Creation of Brand Value' at the 4th BMS Spring Intensive Course in Brand Management on March 26, 2008.
Strategic design can enable the creation of new brands, the reinvigoration of flagging brands, or the extension of preexisting brands. In his speech, Sasada spoke about how design is revolutionizing brand management, with a host of success stories from Japan and the international marketplace.
Other speakers on the day included Keiji Furukawa the team leader in charge of brand strategy at Matsushita Electric Industrial's brand management department.
His talk on Panasonic's approach to global branding was particularly relevant, given that the company had recently announced its intention to unify all its corporate brands under the single name Panasonic from October 1, 2008.
