Chuo Nippo (Korean Newspaper): Interview with Fumi Sasada

On March 5, 2009, the Chuo Nippo, one of the 'big three' Korean newspapers, featured an interview with Bravis President and CEO Fumi Sasada.

Sasada made the case that during a recession it is more important than ever to invest in package design, because the package is the most direct consumer interface. On the subject of developing long-seller brands, he talked about the importance of finding the right strategic balance--retaining existing loyal customers, while also periodically refreshing the brand to keep it new and exciting.

One of Sasada's tasks as director of the Japan Package Design Association (JPDA) is to raise awareness of packaging-related issues in Japan, Korea, Europe, and, indeed, worldwide.
