Hakusui is a mild, full-bodied shochu made from water from the Shirakawa riverhead, designated one of Japan's hundred most beautiful rivers. Kirin took over the product from Mercian and revamped the whole series in a bid to fortify Kirin's offering in the shochu space.

Bravis' package design focuses on communicating the quality of the water--the key ingredient--to the consumer. The logo is written in softly curving characters to suggest the mild, full taste of the drink, and it is placed against the outline of the mountain range where the water itself comes from. Again, the purity of the water is evoked by the blue color used for the lettering and the sky.
