Kirin Brewery, one of Japan’s biggest brewers, will be celebrating their 100th anniversary on February 23, 2007. Bravis created a Kirin Beer 100th Anniversary mark which will be featured on products and all promotion media throughout 2007.
The shape of the two zeros in 100 is based on the foaming bubbles on top of the beer. The interlinked shape also evokes the close connection between Kirin Beer and the consumer, as well the friendship that binds people who drink together socially.
The resemblance to the sign for infinity is deliberate, as it serves to express the many years Kirin has worked to satisfy its customers in the past, and will continue to do so in the future. The gradation from yellow to red was designed to evoke a happy, festive mood.
