Package design is the front line of brand strategy. Package design is the closest touch point of the brand with people in their everyday lives, and, as such, the package has the highest value as a medium for the communication of the brand values. Package design therefore needs to be developed based on its position at the vanguard of the expression of the identity. A package must also work in the competitive marketplace. The impression a package creates has a direct impact on sales. As such, the package plays a crucial role in building the brand image. Bravis creates package identities as part of the overall brand strategy.
The preliminary stage of development involves getting briefed by the client, then getting a firm handle on the strategic development concept and directions by organizing and analyzing background data. Bravis establishes goals for the designs and creates designs that fulfill these goals. When the physical package itself is one of the desired design elements, we also develop shapes.
The number of candidate designs is filtered down within Bravis before the design presentation. Refining of the designs, or new design creation, is conducted in response to feedback and possible new design directions from the client at the presentation. We proceed to final design.
After the final design has been selected, it is fine-tuned and the product data (i.e. list of ingredients) that has to be included in the final version is confirmed. Bravis then create the print data and deliver this to the client. After handing over the data, Bravis staff will go to the printers to check color proofs and assist in quality control.
Bravis creates package design that is strategic, fulfills the client’s development goals, and achieves optimum results from a branding point of view.
