A Welcome Thirst Quencher
Japan Tobacco, the former state-run cigarette monopoly, had purchased a distribution business from another company. The firm specialized in the supply and maintenance of the vending machines that are found in such abundance over Japan and JT needed a strong visual identity to display on the trucks and vending machines of its new nationwide network.

Creative Response
With the vending machines purveying chiefly drinks, the company's role in quenching the public's thirst was identified by Bravis as the key brand equity. For this reason the design includes a sun motif to suggest the pleasure of having a cool drink on a scorching hot day. The typography is in a freehand style and a warm palette is used to convey a sense of Latin impulsiveness, of being able to get what one wants when and where one wants it. That, after all, is what Japan Beverage's vending machines are all about. Japan Beverage trucks and vending machines are active all over Japan, making this one of the country's most visible brands.
