Radio for the People, by the People
FM Salus is a radio station in the suburban belt between Tokyo and Yokohama. The audience is chiefly homemakers in the local community, so the majority of programs provide information on local news and events. The station needed to develop a visual identity to accompany its brand name.

Creative Response
Bravis created a corporate brand that reflected the overwhelmingly female make-up of FM Salus' listeners. The station name is presented as the face of a woman, with the twin S's forming her ears, the L her nose, and the lower-case A and U her eyes. The nose and mouth allude to talking and listening, while the wink expresses friendliness. The typography is casual and spontaneous and the colors warm in order to communicate the caring and community-based nature of the station.
