A Titan among Telecoms
The October 2000 merger of KDD, DDI and IDO corporations created KDDI, a telecoms giant second only to NTT, with strengths in mobile communications, domestic and international fixed line telephony and the Internet. Bravis was selected to design the corporate mark for the new company.

Creative Response
The bold, upper case logotype created by Bravis clearly identifies KDDI as a powerhouse in its industry. Blue is used for its twin connotations of futuristic high-tech on the one hand, and solid reliability on the other. The arc sweeping across the name resembles the curve of the earth seen from space, evoking a borderless world of international telephony and mobile communications.
