Cereal Biscuit Crisp Series

Kellogg

As in the rest of the world, Kellogg is the top cereal maker here in Japan. Leveraging its unrivalled know-how in nutrition and technology to produce a food that matches with the diverse eating habits of the present day, Kellogg Japan launched its Cereal Biscuit Crisp series in August of 2008, calling on Bravis to design the packaging.

The All Bran cracker series, which debuted in 2008, was the first-ever salted product to be produced under the Kellogg name. It was devised to widen Kellogg's appeal to the adult male consumer (still a relatively untapped market in Japan) and to get people accustomed to eating Kellogg's products not just at breakfast time, but in the evenings as well. The design is lively, with a vivid contrast between the deep brown of the crackers themselves and the different colors expressing the different flavors.

Since this series saw Kellogg moving out of its traditional breakfast cereal space into new territory, Bravis felt that communicating the product characteristics in an easy-to-understand way was crucial. Using the same logos and brand colors for the biscuits as for the cereal retains the coherence and clarity of the original brand message, while new information to explain what this new product was--such as shape, taste, and time of consumption--is communicated by photographs.

These two new lines--Cereal Biscuit Crisp and All Bran Crackers--are now on sale throughout Japan.
