Hundred-Year Jam
As its name suggests, Meidi-ya has been around since the Meiji era (1868-1912), the period when Japan ended centuries of isolation to open up to the world. The firm was a true pioneer, importing the world's most delicious food products for the Japanese consumer under the slogan: 'Providing the best--always.'

First created back in 1911, My Jam is a brand of sweet jam with a century of history behind it.

The My Jam Kajitsu Jikkan Series is a less sweet version of the traditional product offering the 'real feel of fruit.' Bravis was asked to renew the packaging, with a focus on communicating freshness and on placing the real feel of fruit message front and center.

Creative Response
Our solution was to work with the existing product image, but boost the sense of freshness by varying the color of the product name according to the flavor. We placed a circular stamp with the Japanese ideograms for 'real feel of fruit' on the fruit photographs to get the product concept across in the most direct and appealing manner.
