Mizuho Financial Group

Mizuho Financial Group

On September 29, 2000 three of Japan's largest banks - Daiichi Kangyo Bank, Fuji Bank, and the Industrial Bank of Japan - formed a new financial group, Mizuho Holdings Inc., and on October 1, 2000 Mizuho Trust & Banking, Mizuho Securities, and Mizuho Inevstors Securities all started trading. Bravis International developed the new corporate identity, design system, and design applications for the Mizuho Financial Group.

The corporate symbol is full of movement and vigor. It consists of two motifs, the initial M of 'Mizuho' and a circle, evocative of the earth and thus the global scope of Mizuho's business. The colours employed are bright red and deep blue. The red communicates passion, energy and inventiveness, while the deep blue sends a message of trust and stability.
