The premium sake brand “Shoun” was created to strengthen Hakutsuru Shuzo’s corporate brand. The movie, which was born out of the world of label design, aimed to appeal to a new image of Hakutsuru and expand its fan base.
The movie depicts the rich countryside of Hakutsuru Nishiki in light black ink. Cranes flying in the majestic sky. The foil-stamped brand logo depicts the image of rice paddies glistening in the reflected light. The movie also follows the same noble and fantastic worldview expressed in the package design, promoting a consistent brand image.
However, we did not simply follow the worldview of the package design.” We created a stronger and deeper brand movie by incorporating the tangible and intangible elements essential to the creation of “Shoun,” such as “the passion for Hakutsuru Nishiki grown in-house,” “the tranquil water, air, and land of Nada, which is ideal for sake brewing,” “the determination of the brewers,” and “cutting-edge technology. The movie is completed with the appearance of cranes, which are also depicted on the packaging, at the end of the movie. The movie is a perfect embodiment of the brand concept of “a drink with a story that will make your heart leap with joy.
