PROJECT

In July 1952, the “Power Source Development Promotion Law” was enacted. Ltd. was established under this law, and as a wholesale electric power company, it has been providing a stable and inexpensive supply of electricity. Currently, hydroelectric and coal-fired power plants in 67 locations in Japan produce electricity and support people’s daily lives. With the privatization of J-Power, the corporate name was changed to the vibrant “J-Power” in order to break away from the image of a state-run company and to strongly appeal to future investors as a new brand. A corporate identity (CI) to match the name was required.

The corporate identity developed by Bravis clearly expresses J-Power’s 50 years of global reach, with the red of the J representing the flag of Japan, the arc graphic between the J and Power representing the sun rising over the horizon, and the greatness of the forces of nature. The arc graphic between the J and Power represents the sun rising over the horizon, expressing the greatness of the power of nature. The arc graphic, which is part of the earth, represents J-Power’s international business promotion. The gray color used for the “POWER” portion of the corporate identity represents cutting-edge technology and a sense of solid trust, while the logo in italics with capital letters expresses the true power of the 16 million kW output scale.
