BBS (Bravis Branding Seminar)” was held in Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday, August 9, 2018.
We invited two speakers from Japan, Mr. Shigenobu Saito, General Manager of Planning Group 2, Design Planning Department, Communication Division, Meiji Corporation, and Mr. Takatsugu Nakui, Director, Creative General Manager, Advertising Department and Global Communication Department, Ajinomoto Co.
In the first lecture, Fumi Sasada, President of Ajinomoto, introduced the concept of product development and the latest methodology, and discussed product trends and package design in Japan with specific examples.
Mr. Saito gave the second lecture on the history of Meiji Bulgaria Yogurt, a famous brand in Bangkok, and its branding activities over the years, including specific examples. The lecture was rich in suggestions for local people on the relationship between brand life cycle and package design, and the importance of brand succession and evolution.
The third lecture was given by Mr. Nakui on “The Potential of Package Design.” Since the establishment of Ajinomoto (Thailand) in 1960, the word “umami” has become widely known in Thailand. Based on his own experience in Bangkok, he explained the background of how the brand has penetrated into people’s daily lives and the key points of branding activities in ASEAN countries, focusing on package design.
The seminar was a great success with over 200 participants, mainly from local companies. More and more people have been attending every Bravis Branding Seminar, and 95% of the participants in the survey said they would like to attend again.
We will continue to hold seminars in the future to contribute to our overseas clients.
