Report on BBS Shanghai 2018

BBS (Bravis Branding Seminar) “Branding Seminar based on Consumer Insights” was held at Swissôtel Grand Shanghai on December 13,
2018 (Thursday).

The seminar invited two speakers from Japan, Mr. Mitsuru Okazaki, President of Trend Pro Inc. and Mr. Ippei Murata, Art Director of Shiseido Co.

In the first lecture, Fumi Sasada, President of our company, explained the concept of product development and the methodology of product development that digs deep into consumer insights under the theme of “All About Package Branding. He also discussed product trends and package design in Japan, using specific examples.

Mr. Okazaki, who spoke in the second lecture, titled “Manga Branding,” introduced examples of corporate branding using manga. He succeeded in delivering useful information to consumers by using manga, an interesting and easy-to-understand method of expression, to convey information that could not be conveyed by text alone.

The third speaker, Mr. Murata, spoke about branding from the three perspectives of “visualization of concepts,” “visualization of brands,” and “visualization of corporate characteristics. He said that he tries every day to promote his brand in various aspects such as product design, text design, and spatial design, and how to convey it to consumers in an attractive way.

The event was a great success, attended by over 400 people, mainly from local companies.
