Hugh Sasada to Give a Lecture on “Creating Long-Running Brands and Expanding Overseas, and Case Studies in Brand Development Incorporating Consumer Insights”

At the “Foodaily Global Food and Beverage Innovation Expo,” held in Shanghai, China, from March 30 to April 2, 2025, our Director, HughSasada, delivered a presentation to approximately 300 attendees on the topic of “Creating Long-Selling Brands, Overseas Expansion, and Case Studies in Brand Development Incorporating Consumer Insights.”

The Foodaily Global Food and Beverage Innovation Expo is one of Asia’s largest events in the food and beverage industry. Leaders of food and beverage brands from Japan and abroad gather in a 70,000-square-meter exhibition space to share the latest trends and case studies, and to present prestigious awards such as the “iSEE Global Award,” which honors outstanding innovation and taste. Additionally, the event features activities for the general public to experience the latest food trends, providing a valuable opportunity to directly sample cutting-edge products from around the world.

Sasada took the stage on April 2 for a presentation titled “The Japanese Market,” where he drew on his 20 years of experience as a brand consultant to highlight two key points among the many factors necessary for brand success. Using long-selling brands we have managed for many years as case studies, he discussed how to create long-selling brands, brand equity, and strategies for overseas expansion that safeguard brand image.
In the latter half of his presentation, he shared examples of blockbuster products developed using our proprietary brand development methodology, which generated a significant response.
