The Nishi-Nippon City Bank

Banking on the Brand
When the Nishi-Nippon Bank and Fukuoka City Bank merged they needed to develop a strong new visual identity. This had to reflect their ideals of being close to their customers, of contributing to the Kyushu region and of always providing customer satisfaction. The new bank turned to Bravis to create a visual symbol that would convey its caring, sympathetic and passionate values.

Creative Response
Bravis created a corporate mark based on a flower. The flower represents the desire of the new bank to grow along with its customers and stockholders and to help local businesses prosper and flourish. The petals of the flower represent the stakeholders, who are supported by a human figure-like stalk personifying the bank. The freehand style suggests an organization that is energetic, innovative and approachable, an impression that is reinforced by the use of the warm orange color. The blue, meanwhile, communicates reliability and trustworthiness.
